Ways to Support What’s Your Elephant & the work of Niki Lopez
For almost two decades, independent creative and mom, Niki Lopez has been creating art, curating, programing, advocating and empowering the community – especially marginalized voices – through the use of arts, design, community outreach and cultural programing. Over the years she has worked with countless grass-roots, nonprofits and other independent creatives. Lopez’s work is accessible to the general public but has focus has been on underserved communities: LGBTQ communities, BIPOC, and people who have been impacted by trauma and abuse. She is also an independent art teacher doing art residencies in the school teaching children with disabilities and within the juvenile detention centers. One of her main proajcts is What’ Your Elephant – a movement using the arts to address the unspoken.
WITH YOUR HELP, I can continue to grow, expand my practice and offer more workshops and art classes to children and adults that may not have access otherwise as well as supplement income from projects to be able to expand my reach and do more work in the community.
